On November 18 the Elmer
E. Rasmuson Library served birthday cake to commemorate what would have been
Senator Ted Stevens' 90th birthday. Former Stevens staffers participated in the
event, with Marie Matsuno Nash speaking and Diane Hutchison helping with the
cake cutting. Chancellor Brian Rogers welcomed guests and participants and
invited them to visit the Ted Stevens Gallery, and to attend the gallery
opening talk given by Susannah Dowds, the Ted Stevens Papers Project exhibit
intern.
