The Tanana Yukon
Historical Society in Fairbanks invites the public to the “Wickersham Day
Reception” at the Wickersham House Museum at Pioneer Park. The event takes
place Friday, August 23, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the
public, and light refreshments will be served.

The wonderful sketch of
the Wickersham House that accompanies this post was done by Fairbanks artist
and author Ray Bonnell. He is currently working on a book entitled Interior Sketches that features drawings
like this one and brief essays on sites of historical significance around the
